Bridge methods of measurement include both electrical and non-electrical quantities. Obviously, the non-electrical quantities are measured after transforming them to equivalent ones. The work include a i) Comprehensive review of bridge methods of measurement and the same is confined to four-arm bridges, ii) Development of software for design and analysis of dc and ac bridges, iii) Testing the softwares with data and analysis of the results. All ,the computer programs developed are in FORTRAN 77 and were operated in MS-DOS system. The work opened up the possibilities of further research in the areas of bridge methods of measurement both on line and of line.en_US
