Title: ANALYSIS OF MULTISTOREY BUILDINGS USING 3D BEAM ELEMENT
Authors: Trivedi, Jayendra Kumar
Keywords: EARTHQUAKE ENGINEERING;MULTISTOREY BUILDINGS;3D BEAM ELEMENT;GROUND MOTION
Issue Date: 1991
Abstract: 3-D dynamic analysis has been carried out for three multistory buildings (3,4 and 7 storeyed) to study and evaluate the modal combination techniques proposed by different authors in CQC , AKG , DALS , DABS and SRSS Due to gradual development in the subject of input ground motion it has become evident that the longitudinal , transverse and vertical components of the ground motion taken simultaneously would affect the overall response of structures particularly high rise and unsymmetric structures An attempt has been made in this thesis to highlight the contribution of different components of input ground motion taken together .
