Title: SOIL - STRUCTURE INTERACTION IN OFFSHORE STRUCTURE
Authors: Bisht, Risheendra Singh
Keywords: EARTHQUAKE ENGINEERING;SOIL - STRUCTURE INTERACTION;OFFSHORE STRUCTURE;SOIL FLEXIBILITY
Issue Date: 1989
Abstract: In the present study an attempt has been made to analyze a mathematically idealized Offshore Structural sys-tem and to study the effect of soil flexibility on it's overall response. To create a random nature of Ocean en-vironment an attempt has also been made to simulate the ran-dom wave surface elevation so as to subject our structure to realistic wave forces. The response of the structure to these wave forces with variation in soil flexibility was studied for three typical cases viz. the displacement response at top, the shearing stress and the bending stress at base.
