Abstract: The main use of Pulsed GTAW lies in the welding of dissimilar metals and for same metal of different section thickness. The use of pulse parameters helps in governing the solidification pattern of the molten metal. Experimental investigations have been carried out in case of pulsed GTAW to study the influence of welding parameters such as peak current, pulse frequency and pulse duration on mechanical properties of the plates that are different in thickness. It has been found that the influence of pulse parameters have increasing and decreasing trends on mechanical properties
