dc.description.abstractIn the present work of weld-bonding of brass-sheet, the weld-through technique has been adopted in which the adhesive is applied to the parts to be joined then spot welded and subsequently cured. Investigations have been carried out to find out the influence of various spot welding processe parameters namely welding current, weld time and electrode force on the tensile shear strength of weld-bond, nugget diameter, microhardness of nugget and heat affected zone. Microstructure examination of weld nugget also carried out. It has been found that the welding parameters have definite influence on shear tensile strength, nugget diameter, hardness of weld nugget and heat affected zone of weld-bond. It was found that the effect of welding parameters on the nugget diameter, hardness of nugget and heat affected zone of weld-bond, are slightly different that of spot weld.en_US
