dc.description.abstractInvestigations have been carried out to study the influence of pulse welding parameters on the weld geometry and HAZ width in case of aluminium and structural steel using TIG welding process. The experimental design analysis (DESIGN EXPERT) has been used to select set of welding parameters and analysis of data. It has been found that pulse parameters such as pulse current, pulse duty cycle have reasonably appreciable influence on weld geometry. However the width of HAZ is nominally affected by these parameters except welding speed. Six parameters have been taken in the present studies. L27 orthogonal array has been used.en_US
