Laminar fluid flow and heat transfer for both developing and developed region in circular-segmented ducts with uniform wall temperature has been analyzed. Two variations in thermal boundary conditions are considered: (i) constant axial and circumferential wall temperature and (ii) constant temperature on the curved surface and adiabatic flat surface. The solutions for thermally and hydrodynamically developing flow region in circular segmented ducts do not appear to have been described in the literature. Numerical solutions, obtained by using finite volume technique with SIMPLE algorithm, are presented for both the velocity and temperature fields, in developing as well as developed region. The isothermal friction factors are in excellent agreement with analytical solutions reported in the literature. Nusselt number and friction factor results for the two thermal boundary conditions are presented for different segmented shapes for entrance regionen_US
