Issue Date: 2002
Abstract: As pointed out the performance of solar air heater is strongly dependent on parameters i.e. mass flow rate, insolation and design of the solar air heater. It was therefor proposed to study the effects of system and operating parameters on the performance of counter flow solar air heaters. It was therefore to design SCM and fabricate an experimental setup to collect data for obtaining the thermal efficiency of counterflow solar air heater with matrix and without matrix. From the analysis of the collected data, the results are discussed and presented in the form of plots. It has been found that thermal efficiency of counterflow solar air heater with matrix is more than the efficiency of the counterflow solar air heater without matrix under the same operating conditions.
