dc.description.abstract | Over the last few decades Azo and Hydrazono compounds have attracted wide attention because of their application in the 1 — 3 preparation of various heterocycles J, in the detection of a large number of metal cations M and due to their high physiologi- 7-10 cal activity' . On one hand, azo compounds have been used for the development of theory of colour and constitution and on the other hand, they are reportedly useful as potential 11 12 antineoplastics , potential antidiabetics etc. Also hydra- 7-10 zones' have been found to be useful as plasticisers, antioxi dants, herbicides, insecticides, rodenticides and plant growth regulators. A large number of substituted hydrazones 3> have been found to possess activity against diabetes, leukaemia.. leprosy and other diseases. .................... | en_US |
