Title: INFLUENCE OF BAFFLES ON DAMPING OF LIQUID IN A RECTANGULAR CONTAINER
Authors: Pittala, Surender

Issue Date: 2001
Abstract: The slosh behaviour of liquid as water in a horizontally moving container on rigid supports is studied experimentally. The overall force response with excitation frequency is determined. The container is suitably provided with horizontal baffles so that the force response is reduced. Baffles of different lengths located at different heights have smaller force response. If such baffles are employed in the compartmentalized containers, the force response can be reduced considerably
