Abstract: Material Requirements Planning system has achieved great significance in recent times MIRP, can substantially reduce product costs and Inventory investments while improving customer delivery performance. The performance of an - MitP system is greatly affected by uncertainty. In the present work the effect of presence of demand and supply uncertainties on material requirements planning systems are investigated. A simulation model is employed to evaluate the influence of these combined uncertainties. Their interaction with product structure variables and lot sizing techniques is also explored.
