Abstract: The work presented in this dissertation deals with the verification of tool path of NC programme after post processing. Attention is focused upon improving the utility of simulation software by adding some special features. Before proceeding to actual work, a brief review is done on the work of similar nature that was done by researches in the past. The review indicates that there are many CAD/CAM systems commercially available, non-of them can produce a perfect tool path simulation due to resolution of the graphic display unit. These problems can be overcome by giving the additional information with verification display. A lot of work has been done in optimization and simulation of tool path but no such work has been reported on the combination of additional tools with simulation like tool collision detection, machining time display, tool display etc. The present work is directed towards the increasing area of simulation in the field of NC manufacturing and to fabricate the simulation activity with other important factors. These additional features may help to reduce or eliminate the iterative procedure of NC programme generation. The attempt has been made to verify" the tool path of NC part programme with some facilities like tool collision detection, machining time, editing of programme. The work has been validated by. practical examples and tested in on industry. Accuracy and, .results of the software are comparable. Finally it has concluded that the tool path simulation contributed to increase the productivity and reduce the lead-time
