| Abstract: | Investigations have been carried out to study the influence of welding parameters on tensile and impact properties and hardness of the weld metal in the case of submerged arc welding with the help of experimental design. Studies have also been carried out on the width of HAZ. Investigations have revealed that welding parameters have appreciable influence on tensile and impact properties as well as width of HAZ.
