The slosh behaviour of liquid as water in a horizontally moving container on rigid supports is studied experimentally. The overall force response with excitation frequency is determined. The container is suitably compartmentalized so that the force response is reduced. Compartments• of different size have smaller force response than single compartment container of same liquid. mass. If such compartmentalized containers employ cloth membrane, the force response can be reduced furtheren_US
