Abstract: The human body is developed as a spring mass system. A generalised procedure for the vibratory modeling through anthropomorphic model and assumptions are clearly stated. The validation of our procedure is done by developing the spring and dashpot model for a 50th percentile male. Damping is incorporated by assigning some appropriate clearance values to individual segments. The damping coefficients of individual segments are obtained using anthropo a ric data and viscosity of blood. In addition this thesis presents frequency response of different parts of body due to constant force excitation at the foot and hands.
