Abstract: Prediction of annual energy consumption requires the performance evaluation of each component used in air-conditioning system. A cooling and dehumidification coils is an essential component of both conventional and non conventional air-conditioning systems. The objective of this work is to design a chilled water cooling coil. For this purpose a series of equations have been presented, to model the design of chilled water cooling coil, and compiled in a form of computer programme in C language. The designed cooling coil is also tested for its performance behaviour with the help of an another programme. The performance behaviour of designed cooling coil is compared with experimental available data in the literature and a close agreement was found between the two.
