Title: INFLUENCE OF FLUX BASICITY ON THE MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF SUBMERGED ARC WELD DEPOSIT
Authors: Johori, Ajit
Keywords: MECHANICAL INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING;FLUX BASICITY;MECHANICAL PROPERTIES;SUBMERGED ARC WELD DEPOSIT
Issue Date: 1998
Abstract: Investigations have been carried out to study the influence of flux basicity on the mechanical properties of weldments produced by submerged arc welding process. It has been revealed that mechanical properties improve with the increase in basicity of the flux. For similar welding condition 650 amp welding current leads to better mechanical properties as compared to 500 amp welding current
