dc.description.abstractIn. any competitive economy, continuous cost reduction and quality improvement are essential if an organization is to stay in operation. International organization for standardization (ISO), Published the ISO 9000 series international standards in 1987, sets out the method by which a management system incorporating all the activities associated with quality, can be implemented in an organization to ensure that all the specified performance requirements and needs of customers are fully met. All the elements, requirements and provisions adopted by a company for its quality management system are to be documented in a systematic and orderly manner in the form of written policies and objective. This dissertation explains traditional vendor development concept with respect to quality system, as required by ISO 9000 series of standardsen_US
