Most single layer absorbers are thin sheet absorbers. These absorbers though give significant absorption, there application is restricted because, they are heavy and difficult to handle. Thin sheet absorber cannot readily take the shape of object required to be coated. To overcome the above problems it is proposed to study and develop paints as microwave absorbers. Paint have been developed using various resins viz. Polystyrene, Epoxy & Polyurethane as binder and Iron Powder & Barium ferrite as the absorbing materials. The prepared paints have been tested and the experimental and theoretical values are in near confirmation. The testing has been done using a Hewlett Packard network analyzer.en_US
