An operational device (here SAW filter) has to be converted to some equivalent model for the purpose of analysis and synthesis. Here the impulse response model, introduced by Hartmann has been discussed which is one of the simplest and acceptably accurate model. It has been extended to cal-culate Transducer input admittance and filter frequency response with much less effort than required by equivalent circuit model approach. Further a simple proceedure for synthesis and design of Band.Pass filter namely numerical Fourier Transform Technique has been discussed and a numerical example has been described to theoritically design a band pass filter.en_US
