Title: | DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION of A PC BASED LOGIC ANALYSER |
Authors: | Saraswat, Sanjay |
Keywords: | ELECTRONICS AND COMPUTER ENGINEERING;LOGIC ANALYSER;DEBUGGING TOOL;DIGITAL SYSTEM |
Issue Date: | 1991 |
Abstract: | In the development phase of any system the basic debugging tools have their own importance. A good debugging tool saves the valuable designer's time and speeds up the development process. In the case of digital system design, logic analyser is one of the the major debugging tools. The logic analyser behaves like a multiple channel digital storage oscilloscope. It samples the data comming out of the probes connected to it and stores ill its memory and subsequently displays in different formats. Even though the conventional logic analyser has various facilities offered in it, it is very expensive. Since personal computers have the higher availability, a logic analyser which exploits the displ , rj capability of PC can be thought of. |
