Abstract: | The Locomotive Movement Control demands an improved Computerized Control and Monitoring Scheme. Due to an increased number of Locomotives involved and. increased complexity of movements involved direct manual control by individually watching each Locomotive and remembering it has become very difficult. Locomotive Movement Chart is. a graph of Locomotive utilization with time. This is used to obtain performance figures of merit to judge the output and efficiency of control and also to provide a base for real time control. Computerized Locomotive Movement Chart is conceived with the idea 11 of replacing these manual jobs by a computerized scheme. A menu driven software has been developed which will combine 't lie information kept by TLC and automatically updating it as a consequence of any change brought about in the ATLC database called the interchange. Uptodate information will be made available to the TLC for decision making which will consist. of Locomotive Positions along the line, making over and taking over of Locomotives from other Divisions and Locomotives now running in the Division and their status. |
