dc.description.abstractTV Deflection System may be divided into two broad categories (a) Thoswe which use discrete components and (b) Those which use integrated circuits specifically meant to carry out the various functions in a Deflection System. The dissertation aims at presenting the principles of working of both these categories. Analysis of important subsystems of Deflection Systems has been presented. This information can be made use of in designing a Deflection System. Typical circuits of Deflection Systems used in ITT, Toshiba, and other models have been discussed. Some of the IC's used in TV industry are discussed at length. Details of an actual Deflection System fabricated in the laboratory using the IC HA-11423 have been included, along with information about its troubleshootingen_US
