Title: A STUDY OF SMPS AND ITS FABRICATION
Authors: Jain, Pankaj Kumar
Keywords: ELECTRONICS AND COMPUTER ENGINEERING;SMPS;FABRICATION;INFORMATION TRANSFER
Issue Date: 1989
Abstract: Switching-mode power supply (SMPS) may be divided into two broad catagories (a) those which used discrete components and (b) those which used an integrated circuit specifically meant to carry out the various function& in an SMPS. The dissertation aims at presenting the basic principles of working of both these catagories. Analysis of important subsystem of SMPS has been presented. This information can be made use of in designing SMPS of almost any desired rating. Typical circuits of SMPS of various types are discussed at length. Details of an actual SMPS circuit fabricated in the laboratory using the IC SG 3524 have also been included.
