dc.description.abstractA project consists of a number of jobs that together can be considered a system. Jobs making up a project are independent in terms of the sequence in which they can be or should be accomplished, the resources to be used or shared and their impact on the success, cost or functioning of the system as a whole. The prime purpose of a cost analysis of a project is to reduce the project duration to the most economical duration and to this at the minimum possible direct cost. So, the managerial role in project planning is critical if successful project accomplishment within the time, cost and resource budget is to be realized. In present work the author had developed a computer software to help a project manager in this regard. This software is written in C language under DOS environment on IBM 386 computer, Some of the important features of this software are (a) Basic Scheduling Computations (b) Network Cost Analysis (c) Resource Loading (d). Resource Levelling and (e) Constrained-Resource Scheduling One of the important aspect of this software is that it is totally user-friendly.
