Simultaneity is a key to high-speed computation. Data driven computation and data flow architecture show promise as a means of achieving high-speed computing through the exploitation of software parallelism. A machine based on the tagged-token model of data flow computation has been developed at the University of Manchester. This thesis describes the simulation of the Manchester Data Flow Computer on IBM PC using C language. Many programs in the form of data flow graphs have been executed on the simulated machine. The data. flow model has further been used for the logic verification of digital circuits and several digital circuits have been successfully verified by using the same model.en_US
