Issue Date: 1991
Abstract: In this dissertation work computer programs in BASIC have been developed for studiny the dynamic response of linear systems with digital controller. Study has been made. over first order system and first-order-model of a fourth order system. Control algorithms are designed by z-transform techniques as well as velocity form of conventional control algorithm. In z-transform techniques, controller transfer function has been first developed in z-domain. Later, first-order-model-pulse transfer function of a fourth order process has been developed in z-domain. Time-domain expression of above two equations are then used in computer programming. Each BASIC PROGRAM is written for initial condition zero and one, as transient part of the system response depends on the initial conditions. Results and their plots are attached in Appendix. Certain conclusions have been drawn at the end.
