dc.description.abstract | Analysis has been carried out for calculating the coupling coefficients and scattering matrix parameters of a tee-junction where a circular waveguide has been coupled to a rectangular waveguide via an aperture in the broad wall. The problem is formulated in terms of a pair of coupled operator equations via the use of equivalence principle with equivalent magnetic currents as the unknowns. The equations are converted into matrix form by the method of moments where each of the matrices is related to its respective region and is independent of the other regions. The work has been carried out for the matrix related to circular waveguide region only, as for other regions matrices are already known. Rooftop functions have been used for both expansion and testing, so that the matrix is symmetric. The change of .integration limits from cartesian co-ordinates to polar co-ordinates over the aperture region is discussed in detail. iii | en_US |
