dc.description.abstract | Friction a-," the tool workpiece interface is an important factor in metal deformation processes. It is being represented either by coefficient of friction or by interface friction sheer factor in all the metal deformation studies. In the present work, the relative validity of these two conceptsin case of solid disc forging* has been carried out by some investigators. However, the literature reveals that almost no analysis of strip rolling has been done using the concept of sheer factor (m). With the help of some reported experimental data, the investigation in the case of strip rolling, equations for relative pressure etc. using the concept of interface friction shear factor (m) have also been compared. | en_US |
