This work deals with the vibration of drilling machines under three conditions viz., a. Under no load. b. At working conditions c. Under excitation with a vibrator. To carry out the tests under excitation with the vibratory a mechanical type of vibration generator has been designed and fabricated. This vibrator works at diff-erent frequencies and generates different forces and has been an excellent aid to create suitable conditions for carrying out the tests. The behaviour of the machine under various dynamic conditions has been studied and an attempt has been made to find out, the conditions that give the best output and minimum vibrations from the curves plotted.en_US
