Abstract: | A simulator is a collection of hardware and software systems which are used to mimic the behaviour of some entity or phenomenon.SHP simulators are being used to provide training to SHP personnel by virtually creating different operating conditions of the plant. Real Time Digital Simulator (RTDS) is a special, kind of simulator which provides a realistic simulation of SHP plants with regard to - system response in time domain. - It -provides an environment that is effective for operator training and -assistance.RTDS for SHP plant was developed by ALICES software and is available in AHEC , ET Roorkee In this dissertation work, Bhikuriagad which - is having a capacity of 500 kW and - Zhangdong rong which is having a capacity of 1000 kW which comes under mini hydelpower projects are simulated and studied the results. The various components of SHP like weir, channel. forebay , penstock, turbine, synchronous generator are considered for simulation. The simulation is done using ALICES simulation software |
